In an emotional ceremony presided over by Monsignor Mario de Jesús Álvarez, Benposta received the first house built in the pedagogical city of Casa Hogar Niña María-Benposta in Istmina-Chocó. Thanks to the support of the Casa Hogar Foundation (Germany) and in partnership with the Diocese of Istmina-Tadó, this facility will house 48 indigenous and Afro-descendant girls and adolescents. Benposta has taken on the pedagogical, technical, and administrative coordination of the project, which is already underway with the construction of the dining area.
Benposta is an organization dedicated to defending and promoting the rights of children, adolescents, and young people, creating protective spaces and opportunities for a dignified life, based on active participation and social commitment.
